Filing date
Any new Patent and Trade Mark application not claiming priority will be given a filing date of the date received in this Office. This includes Saturdays, Sundays and all Public holidays.
Further information on this and the relevant hours of business for designs applications is available.
All other documents received on a weekend or excluded day will be given a filing date of the next working day.
Filing of documents by hand
You can still leave documents (in sealed packages) at Concept House and the London office, 21 Bloomsbury Street on these days.
Filing of documents by fax
You can fax documents to us on +44 (0) 1633 817777.
Fax back service
The fax back service will be available between 09:00 to 17:00 (Monday to Friday), with the exception of Monday 24 December 2012 and Tuesday 1 January 2013. Further details will be available nearer the time.
There will be no fax back service on the days when the Office is closed (see above).
Electronic filing of patent and trade mark applications
You can still send us patent and trade mark applications electronically, but there will be no staff available to help or advise you, on these days.
